The International Zeolite Association Structure Commission has assigned a framework type code (SOV) to the novel framework topology of SCM-15 (SINOPEC Composite Material 15).

SCM-15, a new stable zeolite with a unique 12脳12脳10-ring channel system, was discovered by Sinopec Shanghai Research Institute of Petrochemical Technology (SRIPT). The good thermal stability and the unique channel system may give SCM鈥?5 great potential for catalytic and adsorptive applications.
